A solar collector (1) has a first flat wall (11) for the entry of the solar radiation (15) into the collector and a second flat wall (12) as a rear wall of the collector. The first wall consists essentially of material that has high penetrability for solar radiation and possesses comparatively minimal penetrability for low temperature energy. This second wall consists essentially of material that comparatively to the first wall has a high conductance for low temperature energy occurring in the collector. A building is constructed with such solar collectors and is to be heated with solar energy. The first wall of a collector is part of the outside of the building and the second wall of the collector a part of the inside space of the building.
