PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the amplifier of a mobile terminal is provided to improve the linearity of a receiving unit and the system efficiency in the mobile terminal by switching the amplifier according to the input and disturbance signal entered under the control signal of a digital signal processing unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling an amplifier comprises an amplifier(102), a switch(101) and a control unit(103). The amplifier(102) is operated by the control signal of the control unit(103). When the switch(101) is off, the amplifier(102) performs the same amplifying of signal that general amplifier performs. When the switch(101) is on in response to applying the control signal of the control unit(103), the amplifier is not operated. In this case, the applied signal is transferred to an output through the pass of the switch(101).
