PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device provided with a line-of-vision detector with the improved detection accuracy for automatically correcting the detection error of the line of vision due to the individual difference of the size of the eyeball by using an appropriately set a line of vision correction means. SOLUTION: At the time of detecting the rotation angle of the optical axis of the eyeball of an observer looking at a finder system and detecting the line of vision of the observer from the rotation angle in the line of vision detector, the line of vision detector obtains the line of vision by the function of brightness around the eyeball of the observer and line of vision correction data.
