Protecting steel pipelines from inner corrosion by wet natural gases containing carbon dioxide and/or hydrogen sulfide comprises inserting a corrosion protection agent containing a corrosion-limiting active ingredient into the pipeline. The composition of the sol liquid is balanced in the pipeline with the corrosion protection agent so that at least one part of the liquid containing the corrosion-limiting active ingredient is distributed over the whole inner surfaces of the pipeline. Preferred Features: A spreading agent, preferably an amphiphatic material containing a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic molecule is added.
