PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong positioning in arranging a plurality of tool magazines 30. SOLUTION: In this machine tool, a plurality of tool magazines 30 detachably disposed with a number of tools thereon are placed detachably parallel with each other on a placing table 31 moving integrally with a table 16 for placing a work thereon. A pair of positioning pins 35 and 36 are projectedly provided on the surface of the placing table 31, and projected pins 42a-42h a engaging parts for individual identification are proejctedly disposed at the positions apart properly from the positions of the positioning pins 36 so that the disposing intervals thereof are different from each other. Positioning grooves for fitting the positioning pins 35 and 36 thereto are formed in the lower surface of the tool magazines 30, and engaging grooves as engaging parts for individual identification are drilled in the lower surface of the tool magazines 30 to be set at the corresponding placing positions at the positions where the grooves are fitted only to the projected pins 42a-42d at corresponding placing part. Thus, only the tool magazines 30 corresponding to the corresponding placing part can be placed.
