PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an butting apparatus capable of surely butting a welding member to a welding position of a member to be welded and conducting welding while butting the welding member to the member to be welded. SOLUTION: The butting apparatus 1 for welding is provided with a transport means 10 to transport a welding steel tube 2 and a tube 3 to be welded, a positioning mechanism 70 to hold the tube 3 to be welded on the transport means 10 at a butting position and a butting means 100 for butting to turn the welding tube 2 to the butting angle and to hold the tube 3 to be welded to the positioning mechanism 70.
