PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a lot of hair good-lookingly, prevent the hair being caught between the portions where a base plate and holding pieces composing a barrette are connected, and increase the productivity of the barrette. SOLUTION: To the base plate 1 having spring elasticity, whose surface is reversed into a concave or convex one, the holding pieces 2 having spring elasticity are attached. The barrette switches its used attitude between a use attitude such as the hair is held by the reversed base plate 1 and the holding pieces 2 and a nonuse attitude such as the holding pieces 2 are detached from the base plate 1 restored to its formed state. The holding pieces 2 are formed like teeth of a comb, and the holding pieces 2 and the plate 1 are formed from a signal plate.
