PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a suitable hybrid type carbide formable into a fixed uniform shape, having excellent functionality and being lightweight. SOLUTION: In this hybrid type carbide by using a combustible material or a material containing the combustible material as a starting raw material, mixing the starting raw material with an inorganic binder, kneading the mixture with water so as to disperse the inorganic binder into water as a medium, molding the dispersion into a fixed shape and firing the molded material, the hybrid type carbide is characterized in that a material to constitute a part of the starting raw material is a highly water-absorbing polymer of a resin material to adsorb water and to expand. |
