PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circulation type electric vacuum cleaner having improved dust collecting efficiency and reduced noise. SOLUTION: In this electric vacuum cleaner for which an intake flow passage A from a suction tool 28 through an extension pipe 27 and a hose 20 to a cleaner main body 1 and a reflux path B for making the exhaust of a motor-driven blower 12 inside the cleaner main body 1 flow back to the suction tool 28 are formed, an exhaust hole 23 for discharging a part of the exhaust of the reflux path B is formed at at least one of a connection part 21 to the cleaner main body 1 of the hose 20 or a hand operation part 22.
