PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hand-held electric equipment with less standby power consumption capable of surely detecting the handle is held. SOLUTION: In the case that a user holds the handle part 30, a temperature sensor A32 provided on the handle part 30 detects the body temperature of the person and the temperature sensor B33 provided on a part other than the handle part 30 detects a room temperature. Thus, a difference between the respective output signals is recognized in a processing part 34 and it is detected that the person is holding the handle.
