PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which is free of troubles and failures due to the size change in the tube built in the flexible tube of the insertion section of the endoscope. SOLUTION: The tube 15 for the endoscope to be inserted into the endoscope 1 having a curving section 12 at its front end and an insertion section 2 having a coiled section 13 on the operator side of the curving section 12 is provided with helical grooves 25 which give rise to the shrinkage equal to that of the flexible pipe described above at and under a high temperature and high humidity in at least part of the tube 15.
