PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of an image recorder that the part of a sheet stained with fingerprints repels ink to cause significant degradation of image quality and hand feed of sheet is possibly required when a variety of sheets are separated because a separation mechanism is complicated to possibly disable automatic separation. SOLUTION: This image recorder comprises a carriage mounting a recording head performing recording while ejecting ink, articles of consumption mountable removable on the body of recorder while containing a recording medium, a recording element affixed to the article of consumption, and a reader/writer communicable with the recording element. A part of the articles of consumption can be opened/closed freely to expose a part of the recording medium and the carriage is provided with an antenna. Control operation is performed by searching the recording element while operating the carriage thereby collecting various kinds of information. |
