BIODEGRADABLE MOLDED PRODUCT BY MIXTURE OF SWEET-POTATO STARCH LEAF AND CHITOSAN OR POSITIVE STARCH

PURPOSE: A method for producing biodegradable plastic molded product is provided for obtaining a product capable of being completely degraded in low production cost by utilizing sweet-potato starch leafs as a by-product together with chitosan or positive starch. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises to blend 94 wt. parts of sweet-potato powders having 100 in mesh size and having 82% or more of drying rate, 2.5 wt. parts of chitosan solution having 80 or more of deacetylating degree, 2.475 wt. parts of k-carrageenan, 0.025 wt. parts of KCl and 1 wt. part of glutaraldehyde; and to compress and execute molding process of the obtained mixture in a compression-molding machine having internal pressure of 200kgf/cm¬2 at 150 deg.C for about 20 minutes. Alternately, the plastic product comprises instead of the chitosan solution, adhesive paste type positive starch made of the starch in an amount of 50 wt. parts and 50 wt. parts of water and prepared by heating the starch mixture in water bath at 80 deg.C.
