摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and methods for ink jet printing, is provided to solve the problem of choking of nozzle and/or filter and the problem of over consumption of vehicle in inkjet print system. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of feeding gas through a feed line which terminates with an opening; feeding into the feed line ink concentrate which contains at least one component whose particle size increases upon contact with water; feeding into the feed line a vehicle which forms ink when combined with the ink concentrate; combining the ink concentrate and the vehicle in the feed line to form ink; and applying sufficient pressure to the feed line to expel the ink out the opening; wherein the gas and vehicle contain no water or have a combined water content insufficient to cause increase in particle size. An apparatus comprises a gas source containing gas; an ink concentrate source which contains ink concentrate comprising at least one component which increases in particle size when contacted with water; a vehicle source containing vehicle which forms ink when combined with the concentrate; a feed line connected to the gas source and ending in an opening, through which feed line the gas flows from the gas source to the opening; lines connecting the ink concentrate source and the vehicle source to the feed line; and an element for controllably passing gas from the gas source through the feed line, combining the ink concentrate and vehicle in the line to form ink, and expelling the ink out the opening, wherein the gas and vehicle contain no water or together have a water content insufficient to cause increase in particle size.
