PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light source device which suppresses the formation of an illumination luminous flux at a high magnification near the optical axis of a parabolic mirror and is good in light utilization efficiency with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The light source device which comprises the parabolic mirror and a light source arranged at the focus of the parabolic mirror and outputs the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the parabolic mirror via a coupling optical system has a plane mirror which is arranged between the light source and the coupling optical system and reflects the light toward the parabolic mirror.
