DEVICE FOR INSERTING/EXTRACTING VIDEO WATERMARK AND METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A device for inserting/extracting video watermark and a method of the same are provided to insert or extract a stable and highly invisible video watermark by dividing an image into an arbitrary format in a spatial region. CONSTITUTION: A watermark generator(14) generates a watermark of binary value by using a random number generator according to a user key value. A region dividing unit(11) divides an input image into which the watermark inserts into a region of identical specificity. A descending series arranging unit(12) arranges the divided region in descending series by size. A position selecting unit(13) selects randomly a pixel position into which the watermark inserts in the region according to a user key. A watermark inserting unit(15) shifts the pixel value selected in the spatial region to insert the watermark, and outputs the watermarked image.
