PURPOSE: An on-line auction method and system is provided to offer an on-line secondhand goods auction method and system to prevent a responsibility clarification dispute of a defect generated after auction. CONSTITUTION: Examining auction information on the screen of a terminal, a purchaser decides whether he will participate in an auction(401,402). If the purchaser decides to participate in the auction, he inputs his membership ID, password and bidding price(403). In case that the purchaser becomes the successful bidder(404), a control module transmits electronic mail to inform him of it(405). If the successful bidder accesses an auction server and clicks on an auction result view icon, the control module extracts an auction result stored from an auction database and transmits the result through a communication module. The successful bidder confirms the post inspection and warranty contents displayed on the screen of the terminal again. In case that the successful bidder agrees with the displayed contents, he clicks on a confirmation icon.
