<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board edge detecting device capable of accurately detecting the position of the edge of a glass board. SOLUTION: A board edge detecting device 1 is equipped with a sensor support pad 5 which rises up from the base 21 of a hand 2 and is bent forward, and a reflection-type sensor 3 which projects light downward is mounted on the tip of the sensor support pad 5. On the other hand, the surface of a board W is finished into a mirror surface, when the hand 2 is moved to insert the edge WE of the board W into a space 8 formed between the base 21 of the hand 2 and the sensor 3, light projected from the sensor 3 is detected as incoming light by the sensor, passing through the same route with the outgoing light after it is reflected from the surface of the board W.</p> |
