PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a master plate for planographic printing plate which can utilize the conventional processing unit and printer as they are, attains direct plate making from digital information of a computer or the like and has a photosensitive layer capable of forming a wholly uniform image and having a wide electric conductivity latitude of a developing solution. SOLUTION: The method has a conductive heat drying step in which a plate obtained by coating the top of a substrate with a coating solution for a photosensitive layer containing an alkali-soluble high molecular compound and a compound which absorbs light and generates heat is dried by contact with a heating roll. It is preferable that the method has a convection heat drying step in which the plate is dried by a convection heating method by air blowing before the conductive heat drying step from the viewpoint of the enhancement of uniformity in drying conditions. |
