PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system in which a portable telephone is used in lieu of a microphone and a remote controller. SOLUTION: When a user makes a phone call to a control center 3 by his own portable telephone 1, the center 3 transmits a message requesting a music number to be inputted to the telephone 1. Then, the user looks at the message and inputs the number associated with a karaoke room and the number of a music by ten keys. When the room number and the music numbers are transmitted to a computer 6 through a radio telephone line, the computer 6 reads the music and video data of the music number from a large capacity memory 7 and outputs the data to a controller 11 of the karaoke room indicated by the room number. The controller 11 writes the supplied data into a memory 12, reads the data and outpts the data to an MIDI sound source 17 and a display controller 13. |
