HEIGHT MEASURING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable measurement of a height between two points requiring no special skill free from trouble regardless of the absence of clear perspective and the existence of any obstacle. SOLUTION: A water tank 2 is installed at a measuring point P1 and a manometer 3 at a reference point P2. One end of a pipeline 4 is linked to an outlet 2-2 of the bottom surface of the water tank 2 and the other end of the pipeline 4 is linked to a pressure inlet 3-1 of the manometer 3. Water is poured into the water tank 2. It is so arranged (1) that water from the water tank 2 is guided to a pressure receiving part of the thermometer 3, (2) that no bubble exists in the water in the water tank 2 and in the pipeline 4 and (3) that water fills the water tank 2 up to the height of a reference line 2-1. A height display devices 5 determines a height H between two of the measuring point P1 and the reference point P2 from a measured pressure PV of the manometer 3 to be displayed in a digital value on a height display part 5-1.
