HELIUM RELIQUEFACTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid helium reliquefaction apparatus which dispenses with a locking mechanism or the like and a guide or the like at the middle position of an elevator, allows safe insertion and removal of an insulation connecting tube to and from an insert port and does not make the surrounding of the apparatus dirty. SOLUTION: A helium reliquefaction apparatus 12 is constituted such that helium gas which has evaporated from a liquid helium tank 16 in a liquid helium device 15 is recovered at a room temperature or in a low temperature condition and that the recovered helium is recondensed in the reliquefaction apparatus and returned to the liquid helium tank. An insulation connecting tube 13 which is to be inserted to an insert port 18 provided to the upper surface of the device 15, is integrally fixed to the reliquefaction apparatus. An electrically-driven linear actuator 11 is used for the elevator for mounting and dismounting the insulation connecting tube on and from the insert port.
