PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide baggage carrying facilities for improving carrying efficiency. SOLUTION: The baggage carrying facilities are provided with a plurality of self-traveling dollies 3 which are allowed to self-travel by being guided on a pair of traveling rails 1 for carrying baggage, and each self-traveling dolly 3 is provided with an optical sensor transmitter 65 and an optical sensor receiver 66 for transmitting and receiving data between the front and back self-traveling dollies by irradiating light to a horizontal direction. The horizontally extended area of the light irradiated from the optical sensor transmitter 65 is defined as a wide angle area, and the transmission and reception of data between the front and back self-traveling dollies can be realized at the curved part of the traveling rails 1. Thus, it is possible to capture the distance between the front and back self-traveling dollies according to the transmission and reception of data even at the curved part, and the self-traveling dollies are allowed to safely travel while an optical distance can be maintained between the self- traveling dollies. Therefore, it is possible to improve the carrying efficiency.
