PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a monitor device, to reduce the cost and to improve operability by unnecessitating a sensor which is conventionally required. SOLUTION: A monitor device 10 is the one in a game center where a game machine 1 is arranged and is provided with an image pickup means 5 arranged at a prescribed position in the game center to pickup the image of a prescribed area in the center comprising the machine 1, a change detecting means 14 for detecting change in an image pickup-up by the pickup means, an area designating means 34 for designating an image area where an image change is performed on the image picked-up by the means 5, a touch panel 12 for performing the destination of the image area by the means 34 on the screen of a display device 11 for displaying the image picked-up by the image pickup means, a recording means 19 for recording image information picked-up by the means 5 and a control means 13 for controlling the storage of image information picked-up by the means 5 in the recording means 19 at the point of time when the change in the image is detected by the means 14.
