PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pellet size of an IC from being increase in the case of integrating the circuit of an orthogonal modulator and to obtain excellent modulation accuracy even when the output carrier digital signal from an antenna is fed back. SOLUTION: The orthogonal modulator is provided with a local oscillation section 4 that oscillates an oscillation output signal with a frequency being a multiple of 4/(2n+1) of the frequency of a carrier digital signal, a frequency conversion section 3 that multiplies the frequency of the oscillation output signal with a multiple of (2N+1)/2, and an orthogonal modulation section 2. The frequency conversion section 3 generates a frequency twice that of the carrier digital signal so as to reduce the pallet size of the orthogonal modulator whose circuit is integrated and to obtain excellent modulation accuracy. |
