PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take interchangeability between with a standardized conventional optical recording medium while realizing the high density of recording. SOLUTION: The modulation and demodulation system of a signal to be recorded on a recording track and that of a wobble signal are made same as a modulation and demodulation system in the standardized conventional optical recording medium. A ratio of the period length of the shortest mark of the signal to be recorded on the recording track to the length of one period of the wobble signal is nearly equalized with a ratio of the period length of the shortest mark of the signal to be recorded on the recording track of the standardized conventional optical recording medium to the length of one period of the wobble signal.
