PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the speed change ratio using a pressure feedback control while securing hydraulic pressure in extremely slowly traveling or stopping of a vehicle and to control the speed change ratio in cases of having insufficient hydraulic pressure relative to a rotating element and developing trouble in a hydraulic pressure detecting means for detecting the hydraulic pressure in a transmission control device for a hydraulic continuously variable transmission for the vehicle. SOLUTION: The transmission control device is so constituted that, when the detection value of the hydraulic detecting means is judged to be out of a prescribed range by a hydraulic pressure judgment means 59A during controlling the transmission by feedback controlling a hydraulic pressure control system of the rotating element (primary pulley) 21 in order to set the detection value of the hydraulic detecting means 47 to a target value set by a target hydraulic pressure set means 55A, the control of the hydraulic control system is shifted from a pressure feedback control by the pressure feedback control means 55 to an open loop control by an open loop control means 59. |
