PURPOSE: Provided are a quantitative assay of phosphorus content in a decomposed feed solution with a spectrophotometer by adding a nitrogen-free coloring reagent and a manufacturing method of the coloring reagent used therefor, thereby shortening time for assay, reducing the amount of a reagent, reaction wastes, and costs for disposing reaction wastes. CONSTITUTION: The quantitative method of phosphorous content in a decomposed feed solution is characterized by: using a coloring reagent which is prepared by preparing a mixed solution of sulfuric acid, molybdate and antimony potassium tartarate then adding ascorbic acid thereto; then measuring a spectrophotometer.
