DIELECTRIC PORCELAIN COMPOSITION AND DIELECTRIC RESONATOR USING THE SAME

A dielectric porcelain composition, characterized in that it contains Ba, Zn and Ta, and comprises 100 parts by mass of a primary component having a composition which appears in the region of a quadrilateral formed by point A (x = 0.503, y = 0.152, z = 0.345), point B (x = 0.497, y = 0.158, z = 0.345), point C (x = 0.503, y = 0.162, z = 0.335) and point D (x = 0.497, y = 0.168, z = 0.335), as shown in Fig. 1, when a composition in terms of oxides is represented by xBaO-yZnO- (1/2) zTa2O5 where x, y and z represent mole ratios and x + y + z = 1, 0.2 to 1.6 parts by mass of K in terms of K2O, and 0.7 to 8 parts by mass of Ta in terms of Ta2O5, wherein the mass ratio of the above K to the above Ta is 0.185 to 0.4; and a dielectric resonator comprising the dielectric porcelain composition. The dielectric porcelain composition and the dielectric resonator have no-load quality coefficients which are great in their values and small in their variations.
