PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin membrane for measuring a protease activity, having characteristics of not generating static electricity in the process of bringing a living body specimen into contact with the thin membrane and having an extremely good operating property. SOLUTION: This thin membrane for measuring the protease activity, formed on a supporting body contains a layer containing a protease substrate, cross- linked and/or a substantially not soluble with water and at least one layer of an electric-conductive layer. The above electric-conductive layer is installed e.g. on the surface of the supporting body at the reverse side of the layer containing the protease substrate, on the surface of the layer containing the protease substrate or in between the layer containing the protease substrate and the supporting body.
