PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper device for feeding a raw material, having a mechanism capable of preventing or eliminating the bridge formation without giving the comparatively strong vibration to a hopper. SOLUTION: This hopper device consists of a cylindrical hopper body 1 having a material outlet 13 near a low opening 12, a flexible film member 2 closing the lower opening 12, a towing string member 3 mounted on an outer face of the flexible film member 2, a string member driving part 4 for reciprocating and driving the towing string member 3 for upwardly towing or returning the string member through an opening edge of the lower opening 12, and a material discharging screw 51 rotatably mounted in the hopper body 1 while located in the material outlet 13 at its one end.
