摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature proton conductive electrolyte membrane which is intended for an electrolyte membrane of solid polymeric fuel cells, water electrolytic equipment or the like and excels in the mechanical strength of the membrane and the proton conductivity under a high temperature condition of not lower than 100 deg.C. SOLUTION: A polyvinylpyridine is graft polymerized on to a graft polymerizable substrate polymeric membrane as the side chain, and the resulting graft substrate polymeric membrane is doped with phosphoric acid and as a result, a solid polymeric electrolyte membrane possessing excellent aspects of both polymers which are a high membrane strength based on the substrate polymeric membrane and a flexible and high molecular movability based on the polyvinyl pyridine introduced into the side chain can be obtained. Thus, it is possible to obtain the high temperature proton conductive electrolyte membrane which excels in proton conductivity under a high temperature condition of not lower than 100 deg.C.
