PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus for simply collecting and removing discharged dust by driving a fan in an ideal environment to effectively remove malodor of the exhaust air. SOLUTION: In the garbage treatment apparatus, an exhaust mechanism 6 for exhausting air of a biodegradation chamber 4 is provided with an exhaust duct 7 connected to the chamber 4, a dust collector box 8 connected to the lower end of the duct 7, a fan 10 connected to the suction side of the box 8 through a suction duct 9, and a deodorization catalyst 11 with a built-in heater connected to the discharge side of the fan 10. The dust collector 8 is provided with a partition board 16 in its inside to partition the inside of the box 8 into a collection section 8A and a discharge section 8B. The exhaust duct 7 is connected to the upper surface of the collection section 8A, and the section duct 9 is connected to the upper surface of the discharge section 8B. The collector box 8 is provided with a take-out mouth 12 that is opened on the side surface of the collection section 8A, and is thicker than both the ducts 7 and 9. The mouth 12 is closed with an openable cover 13. |
