PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a connected staple from projecting out of a cartridge when the connected staple is cut at jamming. SOLUTION: The staple cartridge is provided with a housing part 3 for housing a connected staple formed by connecting many straight staples, and a staple feeding passage 4 for feeding the connected staple 2B in the housing part 3. Holding parts 9 for preventing the connected staple from projecting inward from the staple feeding passage 4 and from moving to the discharging side are formed on both sides of a discharge port 5 on the tip of the staple feeding passage 4.
