PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small flicker tester with a high practicability which enables use thereof anywhere at any time along with a performance comparable to the conventional type by achieving excellence in operability and portability. SOLUTION: This flicker tester comprises a light shielding goggle-type glasses frame F adapted to closely contact a face and surface light sources K1 and K2 mounted on right and left opening parts of the glasses frame F while it is provided with a luminocity varying means for varying the luminocity of the surface light sources K1 and K2, a surface light source flickering means for flickering the surface light sources and a flicker value measuring means for measuring a discrimination threshold to determine whether the surface light sources made to flicker is visible by lit light or by flickering light. The surface light sources K1 and K2 are arranged at the closest position to the face with the glasses frame F kept in a close contact with the face.
