PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permselective membrane reactor having high reactivity and allowing flexible designing even in case of low catalyst activity requiring large amount of the catalyst. SOLUTION: In this permselectivce membrane reactor 1, raw material gas 13 flows into the reactor 1 from an inlet 2 and reacts in the reaction chamber of the reactor 1 filled with catalysts, and the generated product gas 14 flows out from an outlet 3 of the reactor 1, where by product gas flows out of the reactor 1 permeating the permselective membrane. The reactor 1 is provided with a porous pipe 6 on the surface of which permselective membrane 5 is deposited, with catalyst layers 9 in the space between the inner wall 4a of the reactor 1 and the porous pipe 6 as the reacting chamber, and with the current plates 7 and 8 in the reaction chamber to lead the byproduct gas formed in the vicinity of the inner wall of the reactor 1 to the surface of the porous pipe 6.
