PURPOSE: A boiler is provided to obtain a high thermal efficiency by using solid fuel and supplying air for combustion in the air as well as to maintain a burner in a case if the burner is not used. CONSTITUTION: Solid fuel is fed into a fuel reservoir tank(41) when a burner is moved back from a case(10). A fuel feed screw(31) is driven by a screw drive motor(42) to supply the solid fuel to a rostol(21) from the fuel reservoir tank. The solid fuel is ignited by an additional ignitor, and the burner is put into the case again. Herein, the ignitor is mounted on a side of the rostol to promote automatic ignition. A blower fan(51) is started to blow air into an air box(32). The air is supplied to the solid fuel through vent holes punched in a radial direction of the rostol. Blowing the air to the solid fuel promotes regular burning of the solid fuel and maximizes thermal efficiency. When the solid fuel is ignited, the rostol is rotated by power from a motor through a gear and an external gear. The rostol rotates the solid fuel slowly by blades(22) to burn the solid fuel regularly. Then, another blower fan(52) is operates to supply oxygen in the air through an air feed ring(23). The oxygen is supplied from the upper portion of the rostol regularly to induce complete combustion of combustion gas. Thereby, the thermal efficiency is improved and air pollution caused by incomplete combustion gas is prevented.
