PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generation system and its starting method whose configuration is simple, control section materials are little, heating efficiency is good, starting-time is short, besides which contain a CO converter so as to prevent the damage of catalyst. SOLUTION: At the lower stage of the CO converter 1 in the fuel cell power generation system, a steam generation part 3 is installed, and at the steam generation part 3 a very high frequency generator 5 is installed. At the start, from the very high frequency generator 5 at the steam generation part 3, a very high frequency or microwave is oscillated to heat to an appointed temperature (the first step), after a reforming device raises the temperature up to the predetermined temperature, raw material fuel is supplied and from the reforming device the fuel gas is circulated to the CO converter 1 (the second step), by supplying optimum water to the steam generation part 3 so that the steam is generated, and the steam or the steam with the fuel gas raises the temperature of the CO generator 1 (the third step). |
