The air extractor for motor vehicle engine cooling uses an inner tube (B) placed in the exhaust pipe (A) to aspirate heated air from around the engine or turbocharger via connecting pipework (C). The heated areas can be enclosed to increase the air flow. The position of the inner tube can be adjusted by a piston and linkage. The air flow control can have movable cones. An independent claim is also included for the use of the extracted air in a heating system.
