<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric switch able to identify easily and accurately a relative positional relation between a set point and an object to be detected in an area to be detected and to minimize a differential thereof. SOLUTION: The photoelectric switch 1 is provided with a photodiode 24 which is split in two. An optical system comprising light receiving lens 23 and the photodiode 24 is rockably provided so that reflected light from the set position ST impinges on the boundary of light receiving faces 24a and 24b. Proximity information and displacement information are displayed on a display of the photoelectric switch 1. The proximity information represents the proximity of the object to be detected with respect to the set point ST in the area to be detected DO. The displacement information represents the amount and direction of the object to be detected with respect to the set point ST in the area to be detected DO with the set point ST as an origin.</p> |
