PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of reducing collision noise when closing a valve without being affected by the hardness of an elastic member provided in an abutment part of a valve element in closing the valve and to reduce the collision noise in opening the valve. SOLUTION: The valve seat 5 is loosely fitted to a passage housing 2 and fixed thereto via an O-ring 6, and a prescribed clearance L1 is provided between a lock part 5a of the valve seat 5 and a lock part 2d of the passage housing 2. When the valve element 3 is collided with the valve seat 5, the valve seat 5 whose collision force is absorbed by the elasticity of the O-ring 6 is gently and axially moved and locked with the passage housing 2, so that the collision noise in closing the valve element 3 is sufficiently reduced. The elastic member 18 on which the valve element 3 abuts when fully opened, is made of a rubber foam with low hardness so as to absorb the collision energy and softly receive the valve element 3, thereby sufficiently reducing the collision noise when opening the valve.
