PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact vertical roll screen door having excellent durability, operability and safety at opening-closing operation time. SOLUTION: In this vertical roll screen door for expansively opening and tensioning a net 1 by horizontally pulling a housing case 2L for housing a winding shaft 13 for winding the polyester mesh-like net 1 in upper and lower frame rails 32a, 33a in upper and lower end cover brackets 4, 3, the housing case is freely slid, rested and fixed by a housing case moving-stopping safety mechanism arranged in the housing case 2L, besides the housing case can be slid by releasing sandwiching and engagement to the frame rails of a lever still rotating a driving handle 21. Therefore, the lever instantly sandwiches upper and lower guide rails again by releasing the driving handle by horizontally pilling the housing case up to a desired position, and the housing case is firmly rested and fixed in a degree of not being pulled back so that the net is easily and surely left in an expansively opened and tensioned state.
