PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally reinforce important parts of a steel pipe constituting a truss structure without welding. SOLUTION: Reinforcing members 3 composed of half-split cylindrical parts 4 and flanges 5 are mounted on the steel pipe 1 to be reinforced so as to cover a section to be reinforced, and inner faces of the reinforcing members are bonded on an outer face of the steel pipe to be reinforce. A reinforcing steel pipe having a length ranging over the front and rear of the section to be reinforced is arranged along the steel pipe to be reinforced so as to range over front and rear of the section to be reinforced, and at least both end parts thereof are connected with and fixed on the steel pipe to be reinforced by respective connection members. A first half-split cylindrical member and a second half-split cylindrical member which are mounted on the steel pipe to be reinforced and the reinforcing steel pipe, tightened by bolts and bonded, are used as the connection members, and flanges thereof are mutually connected.
