PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge lid lock mechanism of a camera which can prevent opening of the cartridge lid with a simple configuration, and does not give breakage to an internal mechanism even when a cartridge lid opening knob is operated forcibly. SOLUTION: The cartridge lid lock mechanism is equipped with a locking lever 22 for preventing opening of a cartridge lid 13, and a clutch mechanism 23 for transmitting the operation of the cartridge lid opening knob to the locking lever 22. The clutch mechanism 23 connects the cartridge lid opening knob and the locking lever 22 when a film is not pulled out from a film cartridge, and it cancels the link of the knob for cartridge lid opening and the locking lever 22 when the film is pulled out from the film cartridge.
