PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a whole outer periphery simultaneous image forming apparatus capable of forming the image of the whole side surface of an object by one simple optical system and capable of being reduced in its installation area. SOLUTION: By using a Cassegrain optical system consisting of a lens 1, a concave main mirror 3 having a hole formed in the central part thereof and a convex sub-mirror 2, the beam emitted upwardly from the side surface of an object 7 is formed into an image by an optical system having the rotary symmetric axis of the object 7 as an optical axis and the image of the side surface of the object from a direction not interfering with the space occupied by the object at all can be taken. Further, by arranging an aperture iris to the rear stage of the Cassegrain optical system, focal depth can be regulated and the whole side surface of the object 7 can be imaged by one optical system.
