PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry industrial waste containing moisture, especially waste by food processing at a short period of time and at a low cost. SOLUTION: There are alternately processed in an apparatus a vacuum dry evacuating a dryer tank 1 while agitating waste thrown into the dryer tank, and a moisture dry heating the waste. The apparatus is provided with the dryer tank having an agitating blade for agitating the waste thrown into the dryer tank, a vacuum pump 13 for evacuating the dryer tank to proceed with the vacuum dry of the waste, and a heating means 20 for externally heating the dryer tank to dry the waste alternately with the vacuum dry. The waste can be dried at a short period of time and at a low cost due to alternate drying process of heating dry and vacuum dry. Dry waste obtained from food production is recycled to feed and fertilizer.
