PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect the property of a disk of magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The eddy current is made to generate on the magnetic disk 3 by an exciting coil included in a detection body 7, and the fluctuation is detected by a detecting coil, then by comparing it with the calibration curve preliminarily prepared by using a reference disk, the property of a recording layer of the magnetic disk 3 is easily measured.
