A cage used for roller bearing made of a low carbon steel containing C of 0.02 to 0.10 wt% and Mn of 0.10 to 0.45 wt%, comprising an outer ring, an inner ring, and a plurality of rolling elements disposed rollingably between the outer ring and the inner ring and having pockets equally holding the rolling elements in the revolving direction of the rolling elements, wherein the hardness of the cage at least in the surface area in contact with the rolling elements is set at Hv190 or higher and the hardness inside the cage is set at Hv110 to 170, whereby the cage becomes difficult to be deformed or damaged, and can provide a high strength and stable performance.
