The bearing fitting (1) has a seat (4) and a cap (5) of non-ferrous metal, with clamping surfaces (6, 6'). The cap clamping surface has an at least partly grooved profile (7) which presses into the seat clamping surface when the bearing is assembled. The cap is reinforced with a hard reinforcing material.
