摘要 <p>The method involves generating control signals for the engine and/or gearbox taking into account the vehicle state and operating parameters in a speed governing system. The accelerator pedal position is converted into a factor depending on revolution rate according to a predetermined functional relationship. If the factor is above a threshold an artificial pedal setting that accurately corresponds to the threshold is used to control engine torque. The method involves generating control signals for manipulating the engine and/or gearbox of a vehicle taking into account vehicle state and operating parameters in a speed governing system. The actual accelerator pedal position (Gasist) is converted into an artificial factor (FakErs) depending on revolution rate according to a predetermined functional relationship. If the factor is above a threshold an artificial pedal setting is derived from the relationship that accurately corresponds to the threshold and is used to control engine torque. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for limiting the speed of a vehicle to an adjustable target speed.</p>
